Dancing Whitetails by Dick Idol Situated around the base of the building at 1201 Lake Robbins, this collection features whitetail deer in three separate groupings illustrating the real-life interactions of these marvelous creatures. Each grouping is surrounded by an impressive combination of landscaping rocks, flora and running water. The title given by the artist for the complete collection is "Dancing Whitetails". The three individual groupings are titled "Monarch's Challenge", "Monarch's Pursuit", and "Monarch's Touch."
Monarch's Challenge represents a struggle between two bucks while a doe waits for the outcome. The fighting bucks are delicately balanced to enhance the tension of the moment and the strategic placement of small water fountains animate the dueling pair.
Monarch's Pursuit illustrates a chase involving two bucks and a doe. The landscaping work supports the grouping and works as a directional force to guide viewers to the third assembly;
